DANE COUNTY REHABILITATION PROGRAM

The Dane County Rehabilitation Program is a non-interest bearing, deferred-payment loan program available through Project Home. A mortgage will be signed and filed to secure the re-payment of the loan when your home is sold or is no longer your main residence.

Major Home Repairs: Including Roof, Siding, HVAC, plumbing, accessibility modifications. The home must be brought up to code. Additional funds can be used for owner requests such as carpeting, kitchen remodeling, etc.

Charge to Customers: Non-interest bearing loan, which is to be repaid upon sale of the home.

Eligibility Requirements:

Area Served: Dane County- except the City of Madison and 12 non-participating communities

• Home Assessment at or below: Single Family Home Owner- $216,315.00 (changes yearly)
• Other Eligibility Requirements: Must reside in one of the 43 participating municipalities
• One visit per 12 month period.
  

Income Requirements:

80% of County Median Income Level (usually increases yearly)
