Dane County and the City of Madison Minor Home Repair Program offer low cost home repairs and accessibility modifications for low- and moderate-income homeowners in Dane County. Examples of services include:
- Minor plumbing, electrical or carpentry work.
- Window replacement and roof repair.
- Accessibility modifications such as door widening and ramps, grab bars and roll-in showers.
All accepted applicants must pay for the cost of materials and $10.00 per hour for labor per crew person.
Eligibility Requirements:
- You must own your own home.
- Your income is at or below 80% of the County Median Income Level.
- Your home is at or below a preset assessment value. Please call for details.
- One visit per 12 month period.
