CITY OF MADISON MINOR HOME REPAIR PROGRAM

BathroomThe City of Madison Minor Home Repair Program offers low cost home repairs and accessibility modifications for qualified homeowners in the City of Madison.
All accepted applicants must pay for the full cost of materials and $10.00 per hour for labor per crew person.

Major Home Repair

DANE COUNTY REHABILITATION PROGRAM

The Dane County Rehabilitation Program is a non-interest bearing, deferred-payment loan program available through Project Home. A mortgage will be signed and filed to secure the re-payment of the loan when your home is sold or is no longer your main residence.

Major Home Repairs: Including Roof, Siding, HVAC, plumbing, accessibility modifications. The home must be brought up to code. Charge to Customers: Non-interest bearing loan, which is to be repaid upon sale of the home.

Lead Hazard Abatement Program

Project Home has teamed up with the State of Wisconsin Department of Commerce and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services to offer lead hazard abatement services as part of a national effort to reduce the exposure of children of low- and moderate-income families with young children to the hazards of lead paint.  It has been shown that continued lead exposure to young children might result in severe health problems including learning disabilities and behavior problems.

HEPA Vacuum Rental Program


Project Home is pleased to provide an affordable HEPA vacuum rental service to the general public. This vacuum can be used to help reduce potentially hazardous dust from your home during renovation work. If you have specific questions regarding the clean up of lead or other hazardous material, please consult a certified professional.
