City of Sun Prairie Minor Home Repair Program

Eligibility Requirements
  • Location:  Your home must be located in the City of Sun Prairie.
  • Income: Your total gross household income cannot exceed 80% of the Dane County Median Income. (See Income Chart below)
  • You must own and live in your home.
  • The property cannot be currently on the market to be sold, or be put on the market to be sold, within the next twelve (12) months.  If the property is sold within this time frame, the applicant must pay a penalty fee equal to 10% of the value of the loan, in addition to the loan being immediately due.
  • The property cannot be in foreclosure, or going into foreclosure, within the next twelve (12) months
  • The loan is due when your home is sold or no longer your primary residence.  A mortgage will be signed and filed to secure repayment of the loan.
  • There are no up-front payments and no monthly payments.  Project Home will cover contractor costs.
  • This loan may also be used in conjunction with other grants or other programs as needed.
