Fund Development Specialist

Join Project Home and lead the charge in private fund development to support our vital mission. We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Fund Development Specialist to work with our volunteers and staff in raising crucial funds.

Key Responsibilities Include:

    • Private Fund Development: You will be responsible for all private fund development, including corporate sponsorships, grant writing, direct mail, and major donor campaigns.
    • Campaign Orchestration: Lead the direct mail and major donor fundraising campaigns  and orchestrate all activities for The Big Share annual fundraiser.
    • Partnerships & Outreach: Research, contact, and meet with business owners and leaders for partnership opportunities. You will also serve as the Project Home representative for Community Shares of Wisconsin.
    • Public Representation: Act as the agency representative for media interviews and give public speeches/presentations to businesses and fundraising groups about Project Home’s work.
    • Database Management: Manage, update, and utilize the Donor Perfect database for fundraising efforts.

Professional Requirements:

    • Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience are required.
    • Proven Success: Demonstrated fundraising experience with proven success.
    • Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoy public speaking and presenting to various groups.
    • Technical Skills: Computer experience is necessary, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Donor Perfect experience is a plus, and training will be provided.
    • Flexibility & Drive: Must work well in a team environment and independently. Availability during evening and weekend hours is occasionally necessary.

This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week and the schedule can be flexible.  Wage is $35/hour or is commensurate with experience.

Project Home offers an excellent full-time benefits package with 90% company paid health and dental, 100% company paid short term disability and life insurance, retirement plan with agency match, as well as other voluntary benefits.  Employees receive 13 ½ days of Holiday pay and accrue 18 days of PTO in your first year Part-time employees working 20+ hours/week are eligible, but premium cost share and holiday and PTO will be prorated.  Project Home fosters work-life balance for all of its employees in a caring supportive environment.
